I wanted to visualize the contradiction between humanity’s ability to measure destruction precisely and its inability to control the consequences.

The composition is built around the point of detonation. Radial lines expand outward from the center to communicate energy, pressure, and scale, while the mushroom cloud becomes the dominant silhouette within the system.

First Lightning is a self-initiated information-design study based on the Soviet Union’s first atomic bomb test. The project translates the scale and destructive force of the explosion into a controlled system of contours, grids, measurements, and technical symbols—creating a visual language suspended between historical archive, scientific diagram, and abstract poster.
